Tipperary advanced to the All-Ireland final against Wexford. After holding Tipp for the first fifteen minutes, Wexford trailed 2–6 to 1–3 at halftime. In the second half, Tipperary dominated, and Wexford walked off the field with ten minutes remaining, unable to find a substitute for an injured player. Tipperary was awarded the title.
