The Irish Crown Jewels, along with collars of the Order of St Patrick, were stolen from Dublin Castle on July 6, 1907. The jewels, valued at over £30,000 at the time, were discovered missing just days before a visit by King Edward VII. Sir Arthur Vicars, the Ulster King of Arms and custodian of the jewels, was later forced to resign due to negligence. The theft caused a major scandal and has never been solved, with various theories circulating about the culprits. The jewels remain unrecovered to this day.
